Springtime marks the start of gardening season for most of us, including the First Lady, as she welcomed students from across the country to help plant the White House Kitchen garden. The First Lady started this tradition in 2009 when she started the garden on the South Lawn and really dove into the conversation about overall health, especially when it comes to the well-being of our children.

We love the First Lady’s efforts and know she has helped inspire many to start up or join their local community gardens across the country! Check out this video shared by BNO News for a sneak peak into the White House garden and the amazing work of these kids and the First Lady!
